Ronaldo’s overhead kick goal was well received by football supporters around the world as it has caused reactions on several social media platforms, while some ex-footballers and sporting icons have hailed the Portuguese captain for his efforts.

Ibrahimovic who recently left Manchester United for LA Galaxy in the United States Major League Soccer is, however, having none of it.

The former Sweden captain scored an overhead kick against England in a friendly match in 2012 which won him the FIFA Puskas Award given to the best goal for the year.

Speaking at a press conference the United States Ibrahimovic reacted to Ronaldo’s goal, by stating that it was too close to goal

He said,  “It was a nice goal, but he should try it from 40 meters.”

Ibrahimovic who scored two goals on his debut for LA Galaxy also talked about his first goal which was a 35-yard stunner.

He said, "Welcome to LA, it was a crazy goal, it was a crazy game’ and all positive things, so I just feel happy and welcome.”

Ronaldo will next be in action on Sunday, April 8 when Real Madrid take on Atletico Madrid in the derby.
