The hosts at Windsor Park in Dominica fell to 25-2 in the second innings on Thursday, still trailing by 145 runs.

Bishoo, who took 6-80 as his performance was overshadowed by Adam Voges (130 not out), said there was still hope for West Indies.

"We just have to go and put on a huge score on the board," the leg-spinner said.

"We have to go and bat sensibly and smart and keep the scoreboard ticking and get as much runs as possible.

"At the end of the day, get 200-250 and we stand a chance of winning the Test match. At the end of it, we have to bat well."

Part of Bishoo's six-for was the wicket of Brad Haddin (8), removing the Australia wicketkeeper with a delivery that turned from leg stump to clip the top of off.

The 29-year-old, who looked up to Australia great Shane Warne, said he wanted to build on his excellent start to the two-Test series.

"I would say that I wanted to start off the series very well," Bishoo said.

"I got six wickets today so I got a good start. I just have to keep on doing what I'm doing and finish off the series very well too. I've got a good start and I just have to capitalise on it."
