Colombian International: Team's World Cup Performance Should Be Seen Positively

Colombian national team forward Luis Suarez believes their World Cup campaign, despite a 3-4 penalty shootout loss to Switzerland in the North American quarterfinals, could be a turning point for the squad. “I think this national team was destined for greater things,” Luis Suarez told DSports. “Thankfully, God, football, and life brought us this far, and I just want to thank the entire country and everyone who filled the stadium. Let’s hope this is a significant turning point, because what the team showed at the World Cup should be viewed in a positive light,” the Colombian international added.
