For his latest role in the upcoming movie "Backseat," Bale looks totally different after adding several pounds and shaving his head.
Bale earlier told Variety that he had been "eating a lot of pies" in order to put on weight for his role as the 46th Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney.
Backseat, which is a biographical drama film, stars Bale alongside Amy Adams, Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell and Bill Pullman.
The drama is centred around Cheney's career as George W. Bush's right-hand man and his policies which have shaped the world, particularly with regards to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
This isn't his first time of making drastic changes for a movie role. In 2004, Bale lost 70lbs, weighing just 120lbs for his character in "The Machinist."
In 2005, Bale regained100 lbs. of muscle to play the DC superhero Batman. He lost the weight again for his role in "The Fighter" in 2010, and in 2013, he gained a bot belly for his character in "American Hustle."
According to several reports, the actor was worried that he wouldn't be able to gain the weight required to play Enzo Ferrari, within the required time.
The upcoming "Backseat" is helmed by Adam McKay, who is best known for 2008's "Step Brothers" and 2015's "The Big Short."
