Chelsea stars on social media and other heartbreaking reactions to the demise of 31-year-old Music Entrepreneur Jamal Edwards
Premier League giants Chelsea, have paid tribute to British music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards following the announcement of his death at the age of 31.
Edwards who was a boyhood Chelsea fan, was the founder of SBTV, an online urban YouTube music platform that helped launch the careers of many global superstar artists from the UK such as Dave, Ed Sheeran, Jessie J and Skepta amongst others.
Edwards was a pioneer in both British rap and grime music and was also an ambassador for a youth charity run by the Prince of Wales called The Prince's Trust which helps give young people the support needed to set up their own companies.
Following the announcement of the tragic news on the night of Sunday February 20, Chelsea paid tribute to the rap and grime music icon on their social media channels.
The London club wrote in a statement: "We're deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jamal Edwards. An inspiration to many, we're honoured that he was part of our Chelsea family.
"Our thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved him.
Other Chelsea stars including: Callum Hudson Odoi, Reece James, Trevor Chalobah, Chelsea Legend John Terry have also led reactions on social media to the sudden news of Edward's death.
