Charles Oliveira is set to put his BMF title on the line against Diego Lopes in the main event of UFC 335, scheduled for December 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The promotion officially announced the blockbuster matchup on Saturday.
Former lightweight champion Oliveira claimed his second UFC belt after a dominant victory over Max Holloway at UFC 326 in March. Despite speculation surrounding an earlier return, the Brazilian is now primed for his first defense of the coveted strap.
Meanwhile, Lopes will make his lightweight debut against one of the most decorated competitors in UFC history. Following two featherweight title bids, the fighter had long hinted at a move up a division and now gets the ideal opportunity to add the BMF crown to his resume.
Alongside Oliveira vs. Lopes, the UFC 335 card features an intriguing co-main event, with Alex Pereira stepping into the Octagon for his second heavyweight bout against the dangerous Sergei Pavlovich. The event will also showcase a heated clash between Bo Nickal and Joe Pyfer.
