Cristiano Ronaldo scored the decisive penalty as Real Madrid defeat cross city rivals Atletico in a shoot-out to lift the trophy.

Sergio Ramos and Yannick Carrasco had scored for both sides in regulation time to take the game to penalty shoot-out.

Thousands of Real Madrid fans lined the city streets to welcome the players and officials after they won the club’s 11th European Cup.

Players and coaches rode across the city in an open-top bus to show off their trophy. They headed to city hall on Plaza de Cibeles where they all converge in celebration.
