Ikeme was shown the red card for pushing Norwich City player Wes Hoolahan after accusing the player of diving inside the 18-yard-box to get a penalty.

The straight red card meant three-match ban for the 30-year-old but the FA has reduced it to two after the decision was appealed by Wolves.

"Carl Ikeme’s three-match suspension for violent conduct has been reduced to two matches after a claim of excessive punishment was successful,” a statement on the FA's website reads.

"An earlier wrongful dismissal claim in relation to the Wolverhampton Wanderers player’s sending off against Norwich City on Saturday [21 January 2017] was rejected.

"Both claims were heard before an Independent Regulatory Commission today."

He will miss the FA Cup fourth Round trip to Liverpool on Saturday, January 28 and the Championship away game against Barnsley on Tuesday, January 31.
