Cannavaro: Give Cristiano an inch, and you're finished

Uzbekistan national team coach Fabio Cannavaro commented on Cristiano Ronaldo's performance after the Portuguese star netted two goals in Portugal's dominant 5-0 victory over the Asian side.

“You can't give Ronaldo an inch, because if you do... you're finished,” stated the Italian legend.

When asked if he could have stopped Ronaldo at the peak of his own career, Cannavaro responded:

“I stopped him many times, but he also scored many goals against my teams. My career ended a long time ago, and he's still playing. I congratulate him; he can play for a few more years, so why should he stop?” said the 2006 World Cup winner and Ballon d'Or recipient.
