Olympiacos on Sunday, April 19 trashed AEL Kalloni FC 5-0 at Karaiskakis Stadium on Sunday, April 17 to complete a record-setting season.
Costas Fortounis and David Fuster gave Olympiacos a 2-0 lead, both with free-kicks, and Pajtim Kasami, Omar Elabdellaoui and Ideye added goals after the break.
Fortounis finished first among Greek league scorers with 18 goals.
Olympiakos finished 28 points ahead of second-place AEK, which lost 3-0 at Levadiakos, shattering the record points margin over the runner-up, which stood at 17 from the 2013-14 season
Ideye who joined Olympiakos from West Brom took to his Instagram to express his delight on winning the league.
“A big thank you to all who have supported us through this journey. We are champions!! @olympiacosf,” he said.
He also commented on the league win on Twitter revealing that his title triumph with Olympiacos brought back good memories of Nigeria's success at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Ideye tweeted: "A big thank you to all who have supported us through this journey. We are champions.
"Great and emotional day for me.The last time I felt this way was at AFCON 2013. So Excited! 1st league win in my career.”
