Social media users make jokes about England exit from Euro 2016

It was fun times for social media users on Monday, June 27 as theymocked England’s knockout from Euro 2016 in relation to Brexit.

More than 3.7million people have however signed a petition to urge the Government to hold a second referendum after Leave won with 52 per cent of the vote.

Football lovers used the call for a second referendum as reference to mock England calling for a rematch of their second round clash against Iceland and labeling them the only country to exit Europe twice in a week.

Iceland beat England 2-1 sending the Roy Hodgson side out of Euro 2016.

Fans saw the funny side of the defeat and took to their social media to set a 'petition' to have a rematch.

The petition has hilariously gotten more than 4,000 retweets and more than 3,000 likes in a matter of minutes.

England goalkeeper Joe Hart was also not left out of the internet mocking as he was at fault for Iceland’s winning goal.

A user shared a photo of Joe Hart in front of an Iceland supermarket located in London, shaming him for 'saving nothing' despite its cheap prices.
