Buhari celebrates Independence Day with troops in Borno

President Buhari is spending the whole day with troops waging war against Boko Haram in Borno as the country marks its 57th Independence Anniversary.

Acoording to a tweet posted on the Presidency's Twitter timeline, the President said "Nigerians must be grateful to our gallant Armed Forces for rolling back the frontiers of B/Haram’s terrorism."

On his Facebook page, the president said, “I'm spending today visiting our troops in Maiduguri. “The entire nation thanks our gallant Armed Forces for their heroic work rolling back the frontiers of Boko Haram’s terrorism.

“We will never forget their sacrifices. I ask that you remember them in your prayers.”
