Serbian basketball player Bogdan Bogdanovic has agreed to a one-year deal with the Houston Rockets, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
Houston actively pursued the guard and ultimately succeeded in acquiring one of the league's most experienced shooters.
Bogdan Bogdanovic spent the 2025-26 NBA season, marred by injuries, playing for the LA Clippers before becoming a free agent after the Californians declined his $16 million option for the 2026-27 season. Significant health issues limited the veteran to just 23 games, resulting in his lowest-scoring campaign of his NBA career.
In an average of 19.7 minutes per game, Bogdanovic recorded just 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. Hampered by injuries, he struggled significantly to find his offensive rhythm in his limited playing time, registering career-low efficiency numbers: just 38.8% from the field and 34.7% from three-point range.
Due to his health problems and dip in form, he was also out of head coach Ty Lue's rotation last NBA season.
Ultimately, Bogdanovic found a new home in Houston, where his proven shooting and reliability are expected to be solid complementary offensive options alongside Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun.
