The (in)famous creation made by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy putting the pop star's body on display is actually an illusion. The piece was created with a skin coloured tulle featured under the embroidery with individual hand sown crystals and stones.

It was revealed on Beyonce.comĀ  that the illusion tulle was specially dyed in Beyonce's skin completion to create an impression that Queen Bey was showing off that much flesh.

Sketches of the dress (in the slider above) revealed by Givenchy outlined the illusion tulle crafted from her bust to her upper thighs showing off underneath as bare kin.

Queen Bey chose the look with a towering 7" suede leather skin coloured platform sandals with the dress which reportedly took 2,000 hours to make.
