Algeria vs Nigeria betting tips & prediction

Nigeria and Algeria will face each other for the first time since 2020. The last meeting was also an international friendly between both countries, as Algeria got a slim 1-0 victory at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The Super Eagles’ last victory against the Desert Warriors came in 2016 during qualification for the 2018 World Cup. Both teams have met three times since that victory, and the North Africans have been victorious in all three cases (one was a 3-0 walkover).

Djamel Belmadi will be confident going into this one, with his team currently on a run of nine straight wins in international friendlies. Meanwhile, José Peseiro is yet to lead the Super Eagles of Nigeria to a win in an international friendly, losing to Ecuador and Mexico in the two he has taken charge of.

With the Super Eagles facing a number of key injuries at the moment, the pendulum has swung further towards the Algerians for this one.

They have shown good form whenever they play against the Super Eagles in recent times, coming out on top in the last three meetings against them.

The Super Eagles have conceded the first goal in five of their last six games, while Algeria have scored first in six straight games.
