Jude Bellingham, who has been a standout performer at the 2026 World Cup with stellar displays – scoring a goal in England's opening 4-2 victory over Croatia and being named Man of the Match in subsequent group stage encounters against Ghana and Panama – has revealed a surprising ambition off the pitch: to become the next James Bond.

The Real Madrid midfielder, under José Mourinho, is currently focused on his national team's upcoming Round of 16 challenge against the Democratic Republic of Congo. However, the footballer, a self-proclaimed cinephile, expressed a desire to follow in the footsteps not only of Bobby Moore, the 1966 World Cup winner, but also the elegant legacy of another Moore – Roger, the actor who immortalized Agent 007.

Speaking to James Corden on Fox's World Cup After Hours, Bellingham shared his acting aspirations. "I'd love to be in a movie," he stated. "People always ask me, 'What would you like to do outside of football?' – and I never really think about it, but when I do, I always come to the conclusion that 'I'd love to be in a movie,'" he admitted.

The midfielder elaborated on his ambition: "I'd love to be James Bond. I've seen all the films. I've seen the (Sean) Connery ones, the Roger Moore ones, I've seen them all. I love James Bond. I swear, I'd love to be in a James Bond film, even if it's just in the background. (Maybe) James Bond himself, but you have to crawl before you walk. They haven't found a new Bond yet, have they?" he questioned, smiling.

During the interview, Corden challenged Bellingham to showcase his acting skills, asking him to deliver the iconic line, "My name is Bond, James Bond," to which the player humorously replied, "I think I've got a chance!" The duo also recreated the famous scene between Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise from the film A Few Good Men.
