Bournemouth striker Eli Krupi is among Barcelona's options for a new central forward, should the club fail to secure their primary target, Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid, according to Fabrizio Romano.

However, the Spanish champions face two potential hurdles that could scupper such a transfer, despite having already contacted both the 20-year-old talent and his club. One is Manchester City's interest in the French youth international, but the more significant obstacle is Bournemouth's firm reluctance to part ways with their top scorer from last season.

In his debut season for the Premier League club, Krupi netted 13 goals in 33 appearances in the English top flight.
