SC Braga's women's volleyball team has secured the signing of Azul Benítez for the 2026/27 season. The 28-year-old Argentine setter makes her return to Portuguese volleyball, following a previous stint with Leixões SC.
In her initial statements as a player for the Arsenalistas, Benítez expressed her excitement for the new challenge and her alignment with the club's ambitions, identifying winning titles as the primary objective.
"I'm very happy to be in Portugal. I've only just arrived and I'm incredibly excited to start this new chapter in my career," the athlete stated, adding that she is "eager to begin working and to get to know the club, my teammates, and the fans better."
The new Warrior highlighted her competitive mindset, describing herself as a "very competitive and emotional" player who enjoys "giving everything on the court, fighting until the last minute." Her ambition is clear: "I want to win titles for SC Braga. I know that's also the club's ambition, and because of that, we are completely aligned."
The Argentine international has previously played for V. Guimarães and Leixões in Portugal.
