Nigerian player faces lawsuit from Israeli club, Ironi Kiryat Shmona
Nigerian player
Amutu has been with Ironi Kiryat Shmona for less than a year but has reportedly agreed a move to Turkish side Yeni Malayatspor.
Shmona however say it has already planned for next season with him in mind, counting the Nigerian as part of their foreign contingent and only added three foreign players in respect to the rule in Israel.
The rule in Israel mandates each team not to have more than five foreign players in their team.
Amutu, the club says has not resumed pre-season with them and didn't hear from the player before they got reports that he has agreed a move to a Turkish club.
Shmona say the player still has a year to go in his contract but Amutu and his representative, Marcelo Houseman have signed a three-year-deal with Yeni Malayatspor.
The Israeli club has sent papers to the Turkish team to prove that Amutu is still under contract with them.
