Chelsea boss makes surprise appearance at staff Christmas party

Chelsea staff are used to not seeing a manager attend their Christmas party since Carlo Ancelotti.

There were expecting just a video goodwill message from Conte but the manager was there in person to thank them for their contributions to the club.

The Italian was given a rousing ovation after delivering a speech in person and staying nearly two hours to mingle with staff.

Chelsea are currently on a winning streak stretching 11 goals and are nine points ahead on the Premier League table.

Diego Costa headed their only goal as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 to maintain their winning run.

They next host Bournemouth on Boxing Day, before making a trip to Stoke City on New Year's Eve.
