The newest version of Android, 6.0 Marshmallow, already rolled out to Google’s Nexus devices since last week. Other manufacturers usually get the update a little later but it seems like LG will be the first to get it this time.
According to a report on Gizmodo, LG has announced that owners of its flagship G4 smartphone in Poland will be the first to get Marshmallow, with owners of the smartphone in other countries following later (because of the update verification process normally required by cell carriers).
Updates that arrive speedily are always good news, in this instance it seems LG’s tactic of minimizing awful bloatware is paying dividends.
That LG is leading the pack on Android updates say a lot and hopefully, other manufacturers will get the message and follow suit.
