Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria hosted the first Leg of this historic game played  at its stadium in Kaduna State, and the second leg will be hosted in Lagos, which is a home game for the Lagos Marines.

The Lagos Marines were initiated in Lagos by Coach Dominik Müller, a German national  that played American football professionally from his early 20s in Europe.

He introduced the  game to youths at Yaba college of technology with the first practice attracting 30 young players.

Müller says he wants Nigerians to pay more attention to the sport because "it alludes to many of the character traits that Nigerians posses dynamism, speed, strength and much more.

"If you consider the success of players of Nigerian descent in the college and professional level, the potential is there," Muller said.

"It is a stepping stone for kids who might not have a shot in the soccer route because of being considered too big or not skillful enough."

Müller's vision is to get the game introduced into all educational levels in Nigeria so that students might get an opportunity to play in the NCAA or maybe the game develops so that Nigeria Has her own Version of the NCAA, and also  secondary schools who can afford to have the program introduced as to build young minds in the way of the Game.

ABU Zaria Titans won the first leg of the game 26-20 in what could be described as a close game, but this time, Adesina Pelumi, one of the captains and a quarterback on the Lagos Marines, is hoping to churn out a different result at home.

"We just have to do the right thing and keep our heads straight.Rome was not built in a day. We've gotten to a level where we realized our mistakes and what we need to do as a team is to have each other's backs so I don't think we should have any issue going into this game."

The game will be played on Saturday, April 23 at Campos Mini Stadium by 2pm. Tickets for the game are free but have to be reserved by contacting zinovationteam@gmail.com.
