The Nigeria international wrapped up the three points for Arsenal just before the half-time whistle when he beat the Everton goalkeeper after collecting a long pass.

He was named the Barclays man-of-the-match after the game.

ā€œThe fact that I stated at Everton, I never really expected it, but when I did I just treated it like any normal game,ā€ Iwobi told Premier League TV.

ā€œI just prepared for it the same and the fact that I even score on my debut was just crazy. I enjoyed the moment.ā€

The 20-year-old was promoted to the Arsenal senior team in 2015 and has held down a regular place with his impressive performances.

He took to Twitter on Thursday, October 27 to recall his debut for Arsenal a year ago from that day.

ā€œLast Year On This Day Was My Debut For @Arsenal, How Time Flies From 45 To 17 Loool,ā€ he wrote on Twitter.

He is set for another start for Arsenal as they travel to Sunderland for this weekend first Premier League game.
