"I'm proud of all of us, and also of myself for managing to win this award and trophy. I'm very grateful for everything that happened tonight," Alajbegovic stated.

The young Bosnian international also commented on breaking a national team record.

"Honestly, I don't know what to say, but I'm proud that I managed to do it. I'm grateful to have a great team and teammates behind me who always support and help me," he emphasized.

Looking ahead to their next opponent, the United States, Alajbegovic believes the "Dragons" have their strengths.

"They are a good team with quality players. However, I believe we can compete with them because we have our own strong points. We certainly aren't afraid of anyone, and I believe we have a chance against them."

He sent a special message to the Bosnia and Herzegovina fans, who provided immense support during the World Cup group stage.

"Thank you all for the incredible support. We are grateful to our fans for everything. Thank you to everyone who was with us and cheered us on. Few national teams have such great supporters," Alajbegovic said.

The player also reflected on the match against Qatar itself.

"Every match is different. Against Switzerland, we were good for 70 minutes, and today it was a bit easier for me because I had more space to play. I think we could have scored another goal."

Finally, he explained why he requested a substitution during the game.

"I didn't want to take any risks, but thankfully, everything is fine," Alajbegovic concluded.
