Super Eagles new boy says Seychelles game is a must win

The Super Eagles lost their opening game of the campaign 0-2 at home to South Africa, while their opponents Seychelles lost 5-1 away to group leaders Libya.

Jamilu who received his first call-up to the national senior team wants his teammates to go all out for three points in the encounter.

In a report by , Jamilu stated that he is happy with his invitation to the national team but his focus is on helping the team get maximum points from the encounter so as to enhance their chances of advancing to the competition.

He said, “I’m happy with the invitation and I am focused on the game just like my other teammates going for the game are as well.

“We need to win in Seychelles to boost our chances of qualifying for the tournament in Cameroon.”

Jamilu joins fellow newcomers and who hope to make their debut appearance for the national team.

The SC Paderborn left-back will have to convince Gernot Rohr to pick him ahead of Bryan Idowu who started all the games at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
