Greece has arrested eight men aboard a Turkish military helicopter which landed in the northern city of Alexandroupolis at midday on Saturday, the country's police ministry said.

The men have requested political asylum, it added.
About 20 of the people who planned the overnight coup in Turkey are dead and 30 more are wounded, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said on Saturday.
At a news conference in Ankara, Yildirim said members of the "parallel structure" - government shorthand for the followers of U.S.-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen - were in the hands of Turkish justice.
Yildirim said 161 people had been killed and 1,440 wounded in the coup attempt
