Zimbabwean police on Friday fired teargas to disperse anti-government supporters gathering in a square in the capital Harare ahead of a planned protest calling for electoral reform, a Reuters witness said.

Leaders from 18 political parties, including opposition leader and head of the Movement for Democratic Change, Morgan Tsvangirai, and former vice president Joice Mujuru will lead the demonstration, which they expect to draw thousands of supporters.
