The minister said what Nigerians should be bothered about is whether Buhari has the capacity to deliver on good governance.

The former Rivers state Governor also pledged to support the President if he decides to run for a second term in office.

He said "The president is fit enough to govern and if he makes the decision to run again, if he does, I don't think there is anything wrong in supporting him."

Amaechi also said that Nigerians owe him a lot because he worked hard to kick out Goodluck Jonathan's 'corrupt' administration.

The minister also alleged that the former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode defrauded the Rivers state government of N2b.

There have been speculations surrounding the fitness of President Buhari following his absence from the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

On Friday, April 28, 2017, the President was also not seen during Jumat prayers at the Villa Mosque.
