INEC fixes December 10 to conclude outstanding elections

The Senate had threatened to boycott plenary if INEC does not conduct Rivers inconclusive elections by December 10.

Secretary to the commission, Auguta Ogakwu, said this in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday, November 3.

According to her, the commission has also approved December 3 to conduct election for the vacant Ifako/Ijaiye seat of Lagos state in the house of representatives.

The seat became vacant following the death of Adewale Oluwatayo, the member who represented the constituency in the house, in July.
