Ahead of the December 10, 2016 rerun election in Rivers state, the Police in Port Harcourt has uncovered a printing press used for the production of fake Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) result sheets.

Bags of printed result sheets of about seven local governments were discovered at the illegal press located at No. 12 Isokpo Street, Port Harcourt.
The printer was said to have been contracted three months ago by Emma Chindah, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state.
Atonye Peters, director of the printing press said the APC chieftain contracted him to print more copies of the document "tribunal matters."

"Honourable Emma Chindah brought a job for us to print," he said. "They brought certified copies of the document and asked us to print. They said they needed more copies for tribunal matters," he added.
Serial number booklets which the printer used in authenticating the result sheets were also seized by the Police.
