Ezeemo made this call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Umuchu, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra.
According to him, the exercise has become necessary because of the clamour for more constituencies by Nigerians, in view of the growing population among other factors.
He urged INEC to muster enough political will to conduct the exercise in accordance with the law and to prove that the commission had the interest of the electorate.
Ezeemo said that the exercise, if carried out, would bridge the inequality gap currently existing in the political map of the nation.
He expressed the belief that the exercise would also correct the imbalance in the current status of the federal constituencies in the South-East geo-political zone of the country.
