What Buhari told me when I resumed in Aso Rock

Buhari appointed Adesina, a former Managing Director of The Sun newspapers, as his media aide on Sunday, May 31, 2015.

The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has opened up on what the President told him when he resumed his duties.

Adesina made the revelation on Sunday, August 3, while speaking at a media parley organized in his honour in Lagos.

“When I resumed, the president said to me “Chief Adesina, welcome to Sambisa House,” the presidential aide said.

Adesina also spoke on the recent attacks launched against him on social media saying that it seemed the “rude and irreverent” were accorded honour on the platforms.

He however admitted that his job would be much easier when “the President gets the job done.”

Adesina also said that despite Buhari’s seemingly strict countenance, the President is actually “soft and childlike.”

The presidential aide was attacked on Twitter for describing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a group of “Wailing Wailers.”
