Ex-PDP media aide arrested again for organizing protest in Abuja

Adeyanju was arrested on Monday, April 24, for organizing a protest to demand the release of detained blogger, Austin Okai.

Okai, convener of the PDP National Youth Frontier, was reportedly arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for criticizing the Kogi state government.

Adeyanju is said to have been arrested in front of the National Human Rights Commission in Abuja.

His arrest has led many Nigerians on social media to call for his release with the hashtag #FreeDeji while condemning the government for oppressing members of the opposition.

The former PDP media aide had also been arrestedon Friday, April 21, at the Unity Fountain, during a protest against the proposed secret trial of Indigenous People of Biafra Leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
