The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly launched an investigation into the administration of former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.
EFCC begins probe of ex-governor’s administration
The group is said to have written to the EFCC on July 29, 2015, indicating three instances of alleged corruption under Amaechi’s government.
The investigation was launched following a petition submitted by a Port Harcourt-based group, The Integrity Group, according to ThisDay.
Amaechi’s administration is also being probed by a judicial commission of inquiry instituted by current Governor, Nyesom Wike.
The former governor has however condemned the probe of his government terming it a witch-hunt.
