Former House of Representatives member, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has criticised the rate of defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
‘Defectors are political prostitutes,’ ex-lawmaker says
The PDP has recorded an exodus of its members since losing its ruling party status in the 2015 elections.

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa, a member of the APC described the defectors as political prostitutes.
“The rate of defection from PDP to APC is shameful. Political prostitutes, politics of convenience, not conviction,” she wrote on Twitter on Monday, January 11, 2016.
The most recent defection of a PDP chieftain is that of the former governor of old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo.
