Q: Can you give us a brief summary of your NGO?
Starzbloom Foundation was founded to help cater for Widows and the less privileged in the society with the help of corporate bodies and individuals. So far Starzbloom foundation has affected over 20, 000 lives with a vision to reach out to over 1 Million people before year 2022. The foundation has been in operation since 2013. Our major focus has been to provide support to the less privileged children and widows in our society. To this effect, we have different outreach programmes such as
“Starzbloom back to School”
In this programme we provide Notebooks, Stationery, Uniforms, School shoes and bags to children in public schools.
“My body My Right”
This takes place at the end of Academic year with Counsellors who educate children on how to take care of their bodies and protect themselves from predators. Free books are provided for them.
“Starzbloom Jolly Christmas”
This outreach takes place during the festive period in December where we ensure that families get a bag of Rice and other goodies for Christmas!
“Starzbloom Feed a Widow outreach”
This is not time bound. We ensure that the widows registered under our foundation never have to sleep on an empty stomach.
“STARZBLOOM PANDEMIC RELIEF”
Because of the lock down during the pandemic, it was difficult to organize an outreach. We initiated the Starzbloom relief fund of #10,000 to our registered recipients and people that reached out to us.
“Starzbloom Learn a craft outreach”
We place youths willing to learn a trade in apprenticeship programmes and provide them with startup tools to start their craft.
Q: What message do you have for your fans and lovers of your music?
First of all, thank you to all my fans and lovers of my music.
Dream, Dream, Dream. You can have what you dream.... just make the plan and work the plan.
Don’t try to be like anybody, your style is unique.
I just try one day at a time to be useful and better than the last.
Being something and somebody is a choice-your choice.
I dare to dream.... dare to dream.
