Speaking in Abuja on Monday, October 2, 2016, at the launch of the book; "Muhammadu Buhari: The Challenges of Leadership in Nigeria" by Professor John Paden, the APC chieftain said President Buhari is leading Nigeria "slowly but steadily."

"As a sitting president, Buhari is on an assignment against time to undo the wrong of nearly two decades of bad governance," Tinubu said.

"Buhari has always been doing things in its different, discipline and spartan way. Buhari is a transformative leader. Now that he is older and given his experience, he is slow but steady in his approach to governance,”  the APC chieftain added.
