Police arrest ex Jigawa Governor

The former Governor was arrested in his Kano home on Sunday, April 30, 2017.

According to Premium Times, he was taken by the security men to the Zone One Command of the Nigeria Police in Kano state.

Reports say he was arrested for allegedly asking his supporters to disrupt the upcoming local government election in the state.

The elections are scheduled to hold on July 1, 2017, according to Premium Times.
