Sect says 15 babies delivered by widows

Events from the clash between the Nigerian Military and the Shiite sect are still unfolding. The sect accuses the military of rendering their children fatherless.

The Shiite Islamic movement has said that 15 babies have been delivered by widows of men killed during a clash with the Nigeria Army in December 2015.

In a statement signed by a spokesman, Ibrahim Musa, the Sect said they believed that General Buratai gave the order of shoot at sight on unarmed Muslims who were at Husainiyya Islamic centre.

The group said the 15 babies who were born within a month after the incident will one day ask about the whereabouts of their fathers.

“Probably, when General Buratai told National Human Right Commission in Abuja that his soldiers killed only 7 people, he thought there won't be any evidence to prove him wrong.”

“But these innocent babies that have just been given birth to by some widows are enough testimonies to the fact that he lied to the whole world,” Ibrahim Musa said in the statement.”

“We call on the people of conscience to seek for justice in these unwarranted killings done by the Nigerian army. If today you are not a victim, who knows, you might be next” Musa added while asking for the release of their leader, Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
