Buhari, Senate President in closed door session

This is coming on the heels of a similar meeting between Buhari and the Senate majority leader, Ali Ndume.

According to Punch, the meeting might be connected to the rejection of Ibrahim Magu, the Chairman of the EFCC.

Reports say the meeting between the Senate President and Buhari lasted for only 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof Itse Sagay has urged President Buhari to re-submit Magu's name to the Senate.

Sagay described the allegations against the EFCC bossas weak and unsubstantiated.

Magu’s was rejected by the Senate following some allegations raised against him in a report authored by the Department of State Services (DSS).
