According to Punch, the meeting might be connected to the rejection of Ibrahim Magu, the Chairman of the EFCC.

Reports say the meeting between the Senate President and Buhari lasted for only 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof Itse Sagay has urged President Buhari to re-submit Magu's name to the Senate.
