Police confirm assassination of governor’s aide
Denen was killed at about 2am today, May 20, 2016, by unknown gunmen in Makurdi, the state capital.

The incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) for the state, Moses Yamu to The Nation.
Yamu also said that the police had begun investigations into the incident and would fish out the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, Governor Ortom has paid a visit to Denen’s home which was the scene of the crime.
