Sources said the accident which involved three cars was said to have occurred due to over speeding.

A police source at the scene who spoke to Pulse said: "We learnt that the black Honda car driver is a young guy in his early twenties who just arrived Nigeria from England. He was coming from Sheraton turn driving in speed towards National Mosque.

"In the Navy blue car is mechanic who was on his way to deliver to the car to the owner while the Honda (silver), is a young man and his wife were coming from the national hospital.

"As you can see, this accident was caused by over speeding. The victims have been taken to the hospital and we're doing our best to move these vehicles from here," he said.
