Marketer sentenced to 10 years imprisonment

It was further reported that the judgment which lasted over five hours, saw Justice Banjoko convicting Rowaye along with his company, Brilla Energy Limited.

According to a report by Daily Trust, Rowaye was imprisoned by Justice Adebukola Banjoko of an FCT High Court sitting in Gudu.

It was further reported that the judgment which lasted over five hours, saw Justice Banjoko convicting Rowaye along with his company, Brilla Energy Limited and another firm, Alminnur Resources Limited, to which the permit to import 10,000metric tonnes of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) into Nigeria was issued in 2011.

The defendants were reportedly re-arraigned on amended charge on February 12, 2016 after the initial first defendant, the Director of Alminnur Resources Limited, ‎Alhaji Saminu Rabiu, had died after the prosecution closed its case after calling 12 witnesses.
