Benue victim loses 4-month-old pregnancy
The victim's blood sample has been sent to Senegal for testing.
The hospital management also revealed that Aloo's blood sample has been sent to a World Health Organisation (WHO) laboratory in Dakar, Senegal, for testing.
According to the bereaved victim, she contracted the disease from her lorry-driver boyfriend, while the man responsible for her pregnancy, a youth corps member serving in Cross River State, has been quarantined by the hospital.
Monkeypox is a viral illness caused by a group of viruses that include chicken pox and small pox, with symptoms like severe headache, fever, back pains among others.
The most worrisome symptom is the presence of rashes, bigger than those caused by chicken pox, usually spreading across the whole body of an infected person.

Since the virus first broke out in BayelsaState on September 22, 2017, it has spread to many other states across the country with the Delta State government confirming a new case on Wednesday, November 8.
