Buhari’s top security chiefs allegedly at war

THE problem started when the NSA, Monguno allegedly expelled the DSS representative in the arms purchase panel.

Premium Times reports that the two top security chiefs do not see eye to eye, and have been at each other’s throats over some personal differences.

A source said the problem started when the NSA, Monguno allegedly expelled the DSS representative in the arms purchase panel.

An issue that angered the DSS boss, Daura, who vowed to take his own pound of flesh.

The source said “The DG of the DSS found that insulting.

“According to him it was rude to claim that an agency in charge of intelligence gathering and other serious confidential security issues for the entire country is not considered worthy of keeping information about a committee.”

Reports also say the DSS have been asked not to guard some sensitive areas in the Presidential Villa, another issue that got the DSS boss infuriated.

Moguno has also reportedly frowned at the way Daura carries himself like he is the NSA.

“The NSA is complaining the DG of the DSS is over-reaching himself and performing his duties,” a source said

Reports also say the DSS boss no longer takes instructions from the office of the NSA, because Monguno is not always in the country.

An Aso Rock source said Daura had his chance when a member of the arms purchase panel, Air Commodore Mohammed Umar (Rtd.), a close ally of the NSA, by the DSS.

The NSA chief, Monguno reportedly said he did not like the way the DSS boys embarrassed the retired Air Commodore.
