'Be extra-vigilant while celebrating Sallah' - Gov. cautions

While thanking God for making the people witness another celebration, Abubakar prayed for the repose of the souls of those who died.

Gov. Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi on Wednesday reiterated the call of the State Police Command, urging the people of the state to be extra vigilant before, during and after the Eid-el-Kabir festivities.

In his Sallah message, the governor congratulated the people on the occasion, but cautioned them against taking chances as far as their personal security and that of the state ,was concerned.

“As I congratulate you all on this joyous occasion, I urge you to be extra vigilant and security conscious, so that our celebration and determination to move our state forward , are not impeded and frustrated by those whose primary preoccupation is to inflict pain and cause disharmony.

“By the Grace of God, our collective goodness will triumph over their diabolical schemes”, said the Governor, in a Press Release issued on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Malam Yakubu Ibn- Mohammed.
