Correspondence between Shell employees shows that negotiations were made with former Nigerian petroleum minister and convicted money launderer, Dan Etete before the deal was sealed in 2011.

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan has also been accused of receiving up to $200 million as bribes in connection with the deal.
