Alhaji Suleiman Alege, the Commissioner of Health in Kwara, on Friday said the state had not recorded any case of Lassa fever.

He attributed the feat to the efforts and contributions of health workers across the state.
The commissioner made the statement in Ilorin South at the commencement of a four-day immunisation campaign against polio and other childhood killer diseases.
He said that the campaign would be held in the 16 Local Government areas of the state.
Alege said that the first rounds of Immunisation Plus Day for 2016 would be held in Ilorin South Local Government, Pakeand Okelele Comprehensive Health Centre in Ilorin East Local Government.
The state Immunisation Officer, Hajia Ajarat Suleiman said that the routine immunisation was for children from age zero to five years.
She appealed to parents to present their children for immunisation.
