The shootout has been confirmed by army spokesman, Colonel K.O Ogunsanya.

Ogunsanya told Daily Trust that the incident is being investigated in order to know “what transpired and who and who among their men were involved,” adding that “a statement would be issued as soon as they get to the root of the matter.”

The shootout reportedly lasted from around 6am to 10am.
