The kidnapped regent, Oluwatoyin Omosowon.

Ondo State police has warned the Akungba town, where its regent, Princess Oluwatoyin Omosowon, was kidnapped last week, not to give in to the kidnappers' demand of N20million ransom.

Omosowon was abducted with her aides by six armed persons along Ikare/Owo Road. They were on their way from a public outing.

In reaction to the abduction in Akure on Saturday, June 6, police spokesman for the Ondo Command, Wole Ogodo, said the community should not pay the ransom without carrying the police along.

He also urged the regent's family to put the police in the know before establishing contact with the abductors.
